It is invested mutually by Hunan Publishing
Investment Holding Group Company Ltd, technology
team of visiting scholars at the United
States led by Mr. Wu Lijun, and Hunan Science
& Technology Development Corporation,
with a registered capital of 20.00 million
RMB. It is registered with the overseas
students pioneer park of Changsha National
High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, and
located in Hunan Pressing Science Park,
adjacent to the Xiangjiang River. It has
a modern research & development laboratory
and production base covering an area of
2000 square meters, and it has made an investment
of almost 6.00 million RMB in instruments
and equipment. In past three years, with
the hardworking efforts of about 40 academic
researchers under the leadership of technology
and management team consisting of senior
visiting scholars at the United States and
Europe and entrepreneurs, it has the annual
production capacity of 200 recombinant proteins
and 400 monoclonal antibodies, becoming
one of the largest production bases for
monoclonal antibodies in China.
Since its establishment, the Effective
Protein Expression of Human-Special Gene
and Monoclonal Antibody Production has won
the support of 5.00 million RMB from Hunan
2002 Industrial Development Guide Fund of
High-Tech Enterprises. It has gained good
social and economic benefits since implementation
of the project. In 2004, it has also undertaken
the project Develop 50 Types of Tumor-Relating
Marker Monoclonal Antibodies by Using Novel
High Throughput Technology Platform (Project
Listing Code: 04C26214301301) of National
Science & Technology DepartmentĄ¯s innovation
fund for small and medium-sized firms, which
is now under a smooth way.
At present, it is developing such projects
as the purification of various proteins
and the expression system of recombinant
proteins such as colibacillus, yeast cell,
insect cell, mammalian cell, etc., and the
development of monoclonal antibody for study
and monoclonal antibody for diagnosis. It
has offered the monoclonal antibody and
recombinant proteins to dozens of famous
universities and enterprises at home and
abroad, such as, Harvard University, University
of California, Berkeley, BIORAD, and so
on. It has been chosen by American ACLARE
Corporation as the first unit to supply
the monoclonal antibody.
