Center is the core enterprise
of Hunan Publishing Investment
Holding Group Company Ltd, and
the sole agency for teaching materials
of the People¡¯s Education Press
and other institutions out of
Hunan province. The center reprints
about 650 types of teaching materials
every year for middle school students
and pupils, almost 200 million
books in total, with an annual
sale income of 600 million RMB.
It has three departments and one
office, namely, publishing department,
marketing department, financial
department, and office.
The publication of teaching
materials for middle school
students and pupils is always
the very core of publication
work, closely relating to the
interests of thousands of families.
It is a politic task concerning
the social stability to ensure
that ¡°everyone holds one book
before class¡±. In past years,
by holding the ¡°very core¡± of
publication work, the center
has worked hard to strengthen
internal management, constantly
optimize external environment
and deepen the reform, finally
realizing the harvest of social
and economic benefits.

The center always attaches
importance to the production cycle and print
quality of teaching materials. In order
to guarantee the production cycle of the
teaching materials, the employees in the
center work hard day and night, overcome
difficulties to finish the publication of
the teaching materials needed. In order
to increase the print quality of teaching
materials, the center has established and
perfected a complete set of quality control
mechanism, and formulated and taken a series
of quality management measures in succession.
This makes our print quality of teaching
materials keep the first place in similar
industry in China at all times, and the
center has won many awards issued by the
People¡¯s Education Press and General Administration
of Press and Publication of P.R. China.
As strengthening quality management, the
center has devoted itself to teachers¡¯ training
and after service, and established the special
phone for after service so as to timely
deal with and address the print quality
matters of teaching materials.
During the course of the planned economy¡¯s
transforming toward the market economy,
Hunan Publishing Center has gradually changed
from pure production model to production
& management model in the new situation
of boosting the publication reform of teaching
materials, and its market sense and competition
sense increase dramatically. Through further
reform, it strives to explore and develop
the operation mechanism that not only suits
the development demand of market economy,
but also reflects the internal law of publishing
industry, so as to make contribution to
the boom and development of publishing industry
in Hunan.
